On Wednesday eve, when most of you were probably ringing in the New Year with champagne and noisemakers, YouTube was showcasing 24 of their highest-rated and most memorable videos of 2008. If you've got some time to spare, it's quite entertaining to see the videos that made the cut. In the meantime, here are four of my favorite to hold you over!

If you've been following our Best of 2008 Polls and Results Roundups, then you'll know that 2008 didn't let us down in terms of new gadgets, tech news stories, iPhone goodies, video games, TV and movie tech, and neat new online tools. For the second year in a row, Apple surpassed the rest in terms of hot new products, newsworthy stories and all the Steve Jobs coverage, which managed to keep us on our toes.
A big thank you for a memorable 2008, and I look forward to yet another exciting year! Wishing you health, happiness, peace, and prosperity in '09!
As MacWorld inches closer and closer, I can't help but have a little fear of what will become of the Apple I know and love once Steve Jobs retires. Although Apple insists that he is ready to hand over the torch to a new set of leaders, the rumor remains that his health is the reason for the changeover and subsequent disappearing act from MacWorld.
What do you think — Will Apple be the same without Steve Jobs as the leader and face of the company, or is the fear just all in our heads?
These days, a social network has to be pretty useful for me to want to join, considering my myriad memberships. One that makes the cut is Cook Eat Share, which is an awesome website and network for recipes and your experiences with them.
Although there are other sites to share recipes, I love that you can encourage your family to join, so you can get Great Aunt Carol's famous pie crust recipe anytime. The other great feature of Cook Eat Share is the group section; join or make a group based on an event, region, or type of food!
