By living part of our social lives on the Internet, we've come to have to do things online as well as in real life. If you make a new friend, the world knows you're now buddies because you'll add them on Facebook, too.
But it's not always harmless alerts about friendships — sometimes you have the unhappy duty of reporting that you're no longer in a relationship. Even when it's someone else, it's awful signing into Facebook and seeing that one of your friends went from being "in a relationship" to "single."

I'm all about blogging as my day job, but since I started my OnSugar blog, I've been blogging on my off-hours as well. If you have your own, you may know there are tons of ways to pimp out your blog, one of which is to embed a Flickr slideshow courtesy of Flickr Slidr.
All you have to do to create slideshow magic is to choose a set from your Flickr favorites, paste the link in Flickr Slidr, and before you can say "boo-yah," you have your embed code to paste anywhere you can insert html (your Facebook profile, perhaps?). Each slide plays for about five seconds, and you can change your alter your slideshow at anytime, since the service is free. Can you tell I'm excited to get started? Yes, yes I am.
Even though Gossip Girl may have an Apple aversion, they don't shy away from featuring LG products (as long as they're carried by sponsor Verizon, of course). Nearly every character has carried a cell phone from the South Korean maker, and they're often fitting on the stylish show, considering the rainbow of colors many of the phones come in — perfect for matching to their outfits! Check out the variety of LG on my favorite tech show.

HTC's Touch Cruise, Cruises Into Stores This Spring Take the popular HTC Touch and the Touch Diamond, add in lots of GPS and geotagging functionality (dubbed "HTC Footprints"), and you've got yourself HTC's latest handset, the Touch Cruise.
Granted, Valentine's Day is still 18 days away, but if you like gearing up for holidays nice and early, here are two fun ways to spread the love on Feb. 14.
The first one is a Blow a Kiss app, which Walmart and Hershey's created. To use, just blow a kiss in your iPhone to send a message via email. And if your friend, family member, or lover doesn't have an iPhone or an iPod Touch, why not send them a pink V-Day eCard with a mosaic of yummy M&M patterns?
Don't ask me why Walmart is getting all techie and lovey-dovey all of a sudden (yes, it is a bit of genius marketing on their part), but whatever the case, these two V-Day creations are pretty cute.
The offender, a Sheraton hotel in Philadelphia, didn't provide any outlets in the entire hotel room, forcing the guest to plug in laptop and phone in the loo.
The obvious danger of the proximity to water, added to the huge inconvenience of something I consider so important, would compel me to pack up, check out, and find another hotel that could accommodate me. Sure, I'm a gadget freak, but aren't we all traveling with technology these days? I hate when I can't get free WiFi (or WiFi at all) in a hotel, and I think it's time they conformed — especially considering that over 80 percent of you said you were interested in tech-packed hotels.
But video game console amenities and iPod docks aside, what are your priorities when traveling? Would you stay in a hotel that wasn't tech-friendly?
