I subscribed to some fun clips, and I know Gmail often throws up the odd Google Sponsored Link or Gmail tip, but c'mon — Spam clips?
I don't eat Spam, and I've never talked about buying it, eating it, or cooking with it in ANY of my emails or chats. OK, so maybe I've said the word Spam a few times in reference to emails, but why is Gmail so excited to send me some recipes for making Spam casseroles?
Is this happening to anyone else? Is it a sponsored link?
If you want to access all of your favorite social networking sites on your iPhone in one simple step, there's an iPhone app called Xumii that will do just that. This free app hits the iTunes store tomorrow and will allow you to update your Facebook page, send an IM, get status updates on MySpace, and/or check out pics on Flickr. This app is capable of all of these things and more. Check it out in action below!
When I upgraded my first generation iPhone to a 3G last year, it was a no-brainer; I wanted the extended battery life and GPS capabilities. But I was also totally delighted that I got to make another very important decision: black or white?!
As style-conscious as I am, I generally end up making practical decisions when it comes to tech, because in the end, I always want the best quality. That said, I'm pleased the most with my gadgets when they end up being stylish as well as functional, like with the smooth, graceful base of my flat screen TV, the way my Apple TV, Wii and PS3 consoles don't have to hide inside my TV cabinet, or how nice and sleek my MacBook Pro looks sitting on my smooth wood coffee table.
But I wouldn't have picked any of these based on style alone. Like I said, they have to offer me the best performance, but among the best performers, if I can narrow them down by style, I certainly will.
How about you? Ever picked a cell phone because it came in a color you liked, or a TV because of how it would look with your decor?
Your laptop can be as effortlessly cool as you are with this padded Plaid Laptop Sleeve ($40) from Etsy seller iSockit.
The plaid retro shirt with the worn moleskine in the pocket. The initial patch. The geek-chic glasses. Slide this on your MacBook and it'll be way too cool for school. And listening to bands that you probably haven't even heard of yet.
Happy Valentine's Day! In the week before this romantic holiday, I got to indulge my crushes in the Geeks We Love series, chick flicks, and the new gadgets that bowed (hello, new Kindle) into the world. Check out these and the other huge happenings in the tech world this week.
Once again, I already feel like I had a fulfilling Valentine's Day because I got to interview some amazing folks I admire — fellow tech bloggers. Most were hilarious, but all were totally brilliant and entertaining. Check out my roundup of this years series of interviews for Geeks We Love.
