I'm all about exploiting Google Maps to do my bidding, and as an avid garage sale fan, I freaked out a little when I found the website Yard Sale Treasure Map.

You put in your zip code along with the mile radius that you're willing to travel, and Yardsale Treasure Map mines Craigslist for the garage and yard sales happening currently or soon. Click on the markers to see the details of each ad, and it being a Google Map, directions to your treasure hunt are just one click away!

The Microsoft ad people have been working on overtime on new ad angles — in the past year alone, they've had the failed Seinfeld concept, the adorable Rookies concept, and now, it's "Laptop Hunters," where cameramen document "real people" shopping for new laptops. I'm using my quotation marks liberally because the first ad features a girl named Lauren who has already been revealed to be an actress.
I'm torn about these ads because I think it's actually a great idea because the people are so relatable, but I think it would have been a whole lot more effective to use real people instead of actors. I mean, what else is the script going to have them buy?
Anyway, let me know what you think of Microsoft's attempt to show people choosing to be PCs.
On Sunday, I spent 500 of my free DSi points on Art Style: Aquia, the Tetris, Bejeweled, Meteos mash-up that has you putting rows of same-colored blocks together in order to make them disappear. I knew the game would be fun, since I'm such a big fan of Tetris and Meteos, but I didn't realize how addictive it would be.

Not only are you being timed, but your goal is to help your undersea diver to get to the bottom of the ocean. With every second that ticks by, your diver is using up air, so you need to work fast. But if you aren't fast enough, the screen starts to turn black, meaning your diver is losing oxygen. It's a twist that gets your fingers — and your mind — working.
It may be fun, but to see the one thing that irks me about Art Style: Aquia, just read more

With Earth Day right around the corner, Incase is getting eco-geek-chic with their new selection of Bamboo Slider iPhone cases. With 40 percent of each case made from reclaimed bamboo materials (and 60 percent from polycarbonate construction), the Bamboo Slider doesn't feel like the standard plastic cases, but still provides great protection for your phone. Now I know they aren't the cheapest accessory with a price tag of $35, but, as I've learned the hard way with cases — you get what you pay for. Choose from mushroom, olive, beet, and eggplant hues.

Ever since December, iPhone users have been having all of the Amazon shopping fun with the free Amazon iPhone App.
Well now it's time for BlackBerry users to get in on the action, thanks to a new free Amazon shopping app for the BlackBerry. Instead of using services like Kwiry to add products to your wishlist, this Amazon tool makes it possible to do this and things like purchase products with one simple click. But you can also take a pic with your BlackBerry and it will automatically upload it to Amazon and try to find products similar to that photo. Genius!
Either go to Amazon to download this on your BB, or type in amazon.com/bb from your BlackBerry's browser.
