Trying to navigate the the online dating scene and feel like you're swimming upstream? Get your digital dating questions answered in geeksugar's Tech Dating 101 series, where I share my take on topics like gadgets in the boudoir and texting during a date. Today I'm tackling how to tell if someone is using the Internet to flirt with you, or just playing the friend game.
Unfortunately, it's often easier to figure out that he's just not that into you than it is to establish his intentions are of the Don Juan variety. If he doesn't IM you back after an hour and you know he's online, he doesn't see you as a priority. If you've had the "relationship talk" and he hasn't changed his relationship status, he's hesitant to announce he's off the market. But, just like happy hour flirtation, it's important to look at the whole picture if you think he wants to get fresh: Is he single? Is he dropping flirtatious hints and innuendos? Is he singling you out specifically or playing the field? And most importantly, is his aim true?
If you suspect a certain someone is trying to bust a virtual move, play PI and track his online interactions, both with you and others. If he's hitting up your Facebook wall weekly, sends you personal emails and links, shares items with you via his reader because he "thought you'd like this!" and Tweets back, chances are high he's interested in you on some level. He wants to know what you think about things. If he's spamming every girl he knows, he's just fishing around and looking for someone to take the bait. For a list of questions you should ask yourself when trying to categorize his intentions as romantic or purely platonic, read more
I like to think you can tell a lot about a man by his computer. It's usually sweeping stereotypes about being a semi-old fashioned, number cruncher, or artsy creator, but at the end of the day we all judge a man by his machinery, right? I get a kick out of watching how TV shows and set designers sneak technology into story lines. Play my PC vs. Mac men quiz to see if you've been paying attention to your favorite TV character's operating systems.

I can't wait to tell lilsugar about my latest tech discovery — earphones designed with kids' ears in mind. The Loud Enough Earphones ($40) are targeted for kids aged eight and older and feature built-in sound pressure protection that decrease noise up to 40 percent (or 20 decibels). And with their isolation design, kids won't have to crank up the volume so loud when they're playing video games, watching movies, or listening to tunes. They also come with a variety of sizes of (PVC free) soft silicone ear tips, making them perfect for adults with smaller ear canals.
I took a pair for a test drive and expected that the volume would be extremely quiet, the sound quality wouldn't be the same, and therefore, not exactly adult-friendly earphones. If you're one of those people who cranks up your music on full blast, then these are not for you. Personally, I like my music fairly loud, but on my iPhone or iPod, that's really only half of the volume level.

AB Sutton knows from luxury gadget cases — their customizable leather goods are what I'd buy for myself if I really wanted to spoil myself (and my iPhone).
They've refreshed their shop with some new options for both the iPhone and Kindle; the Sport Slip for the iPhone starts at $98 and is a play-thru case for the iPhone 3G with gorgeous seaming and is available to monogram.

The Kindle Cases (starting at $88) are truly mouthwatering though — can you believe that simple silver slip? I have goose bumps I want it so bad. Oh and the Kindle to slip inside it.
