Although these streamlined and ultra chic duochromatic OLED wrist bands weren't featured in our Cell Phones So Hot You Can't Get One...Yet story, they are certainly worth mentioning. Designed by Lopez Revol and courtesy of Yanko Designs the Nokia Icon shows incoming call and text messages on its flexible rubber band which just so happens to come in a variety of sizes and colors. Nokia also has a line of glowing bands which change red or white when you receive a message or call. Stumped as to how this gadget works? It connects to the 7280 phone via Bluetooth. I'd say this is something that Lauren Conrad from The Hills would find useful- time to put that BlackBerry in a case girl!
Japan's Solid Alliance has dished up some new, raw USB delights which are able to both to feed my need for useless gadgetry and influence my lunch plans.
I couldn't figure out what type of sushi Solid Alliance was trying to emulate here, so I got a little guidance from my favorite foodie YumSugar, who said the yellow-eggy looking drive is supposed to be Tamago, which is made like a mini sushi omelette, and the fishy one is supposed to be Saba, which is made with mackerel.
Of course the plus side of these sushi-inspired drives is that they are still flash drives and can protect all your precious docs. For a full gallery of delicious drives, read more
Does your iPod ever get a little sleepy in the afternoon? Do you have to give it snacks and put it down for a nice 4 pm nap? Well, now the iPod "Load Thing" can protect your musical child while it catches up on his or her zzzzzs.
No really, I'm serious. This charming iPod accessory is unlike most in that it does, as Crave so aptly points out, absolutely nothing. It's only $13, which isn't outrageous, but of course the whole "no function" bit kind of puts it at a disadvantage. Nice form though. Two thumbs up to that. For a gallery of fun images, read more

The world's first flash memory vending machine has today been installed at London Gatwick Airport's North Terminal, proving that these days, gadget folks will put just about anything in an easily-accessible glass case. The vending machine movement was started of course with the iPod vending machines and has clearly evolved into other electronics.
According to the Inquirer, the flash drive vending machine will give out Kingston Memory's SD cards, CompactFlash cards and DataTraveler USB drives and other bits and bobs to travelers wandering through airports.
According to media reports, one of the iPod machines at the Atlanta, Ga. airport pulls in about $55,000 a month in gross sales. Business Traveler Service, which operates the Zoom machines in the Atlanta airport, says they haven't found any customer resistance to using a credit card to buy a $300 iPod from the machines.
