Just when I thought I was the only person to vacation with my laptop, (honestly, last trip I took there were five computers for four people - don't ask), I read that one in five people took computers on their most recent vacations. According to an AP-Ipsos poll, 80 percent said they brought along their cell phones, which means very few vacationers are leaving the office behind.
The study also showed that one in five people did some work while vacationing, and about the same number checked office messages or called in to see how things were going. So who is to blame? Is it demanding bosses, smartphones, super slim laptops, or the fact that most every mainstream hotel has WiFi or internet access?
I say it's a combination of those factors, plus the fact that we have become so accustomed to our digital lifestyle that we cannot unplug.
Don't you just love your Wii so so much?! I mean, do you love it so much you wish you could wrap your arms around your Wii-mote and sleep with it at night? Well those dreams can come true with the giant plushie Wiimote.
Kotaku exposed this 26" tall, 5.5" wide stuffed gadget to the world and I must say, I haven't recovered. It includes all the appropriate controls and can be used to sit on, to sleep with and for wild pillow fights.
This cozy Wii-mote is unfortunately already sold-out, and I can't seem to find it on any other sites, which leads me to believe this crafty creation is homemade and quite possibly hand stitched? Whoever you are and wherever you are, Wii fans want you to make more!
What is with myspace these days? It is seriously that easy to hack into? And do people care that much? First with Lindsay Lohan's account and now Carrie Underwood? What can a girl do to get a little privacy on the net?
According to TMZ Carrie's myspace account started sending out spam messages to her contacts about free ringtones. Then on her homepage it said "Hey, this is Carrie Underwood. OK here's the deal, I need EVERY SINGLE myspace friend to stop what he/she's doing and GO HERE RIGHT NOW and put your cell # in. You'll recieve every ringtone from every myspace artist (including MY favorites)... (sic)."
Right, like that message doesn't read spam all over it. Thankfully Underwood's account was less scandalous than Lohan's since it was minus the juicy PM's from Paris and Nicole. In the meantime, Carrie's camp has changed her password. Umm, I am sorry PR peeps but that isn't going to work. My advice to her would be to switch over to TeamSugar - it's way cooler anyway!
The very sight of a ghetto blaster, particularly a Dually Talented Human Ghetto Blaster, is enough to warm my heart and throw me into a retro glee coma, but the sight of the Shoulder Bag Ghetto Blaster has me thinking about long walks I can take around the Bay Area to show off my geek chic gear. Though it's just a concept at this point, the head of the blaster purse provides space for a large bass speaker, and the long narrow end of the horn-like shape serves as a bass reflex tube. You can wear it on your hip - although that might put you in dangerous gadget holster territory - or around your shoulder like a bookbag.
HTC just unveiled its version of the iPhone, the Touch which to some of you, you may recognize as the new and improved Elf. The Touch is the first cell phone to come with TouchFLO touchscreen technology, a new feature developed by HTC. Just like the iPhone, you can use your finger to navigate your way around the menu screen.. although you can use your stylus as well if you've got sticky fingers.
This phone boasts a 2.8 inch touchscreen, 128MB of ROM, 64MB of RAM, a 2 megapixel camera, bluetooth, Windows Mobile 6 and other great features.
It is currently available in the UK and will be making its way to Europe and Asia later in the month. Expect to see it in the US by the end of this year!
Don't these USB flash wristbands remind you of slap bracelets from the early nineties? I'm almost positive you can't slap these geeky jewelry pieces against your wrist, but you can use them to store all your fave pics and important word files. Even if they don't appeal to you as a jewelry accessory, they're so outrageously bright that you'd never lose one no matter where it is! Pricing and storage capacity still unknown. What do you think? Something you could love or would you rather leave this one alone?
