BlackBird Fly Cameras: Who Needs Digital?

It's hard not to be enamored with these Japanese BlackBird Fly Cameras.

If it's not their vintage functionality — they're 35 mm twin-lens reflex cameras — it's their range of vibrant, pretty colors, which include teal, white, red, black, and orange.

They're $130 each, which is a pretty penny, but I am always itching to add to my photography arsenal.

What else is cool about them? If that's not a Beatles allusion, I will eat my iPod.

Since Spring finally Sprung, I have been wanting bright colors everywhere — from my fingers and toes to my Nintendo DSi and bluetooth earpieces. That means it's time to retire my boring old iPhone case and get a neon upgrade.

Recording You, Recording Me

Looks like Vanessa Hudgens has taken a cue from Beyonce by adding a Flip Video digital camcorder to her gadget collection.

Now I can't quite place what caught her attention at LAX (or at least what's worthy of some camera-time), but I will say this — Zac seems just about as thrilled about the camera as he is about Twitter and other social networking sites!

With up to two hours of recording time on the new Flip UltraHD, Vanessa's capturing fun can last for 120 minutes — and that's even high-def quality. Let's just hope she uses this great gizmo for something else than just capturing the paparazzi.

Hard Graft Debuts New Felty, Sexy HIGH Collection

The last bag I saw by Hard Graft made me want to sell all my furniture to be able to afford it.

Now they're back with a new fleece line called the HIGH Collection, and it has me feeling what its name suggests.

The gorgeous set is comprised of cases for laptops, cameras, iPhones, iPods, even a Kindle case (and I know my way around chic Kindle cases).

The felt and leather accents run from about $60 for the cheapest case (for the iPod/iPhone) to $120 for the laptop sleeve.

AB Sutton Debuts Hot New Leather Cases For Kindle and iPhone

AB Sutton knows from luxury gadget cases — their customizable leather goods are what I'd buy for myself if I really wanted to spoil myself (and my iPhone).

They've refreshed their shop with some new options for both the iPhone and Kindle; the Sport Slip for the iPhone starts at $98 and is a play-thru case for the iPhone 3G with gorgeous seaming and is available to monogram.

The Kindle Cases (starting at $88) are truly mouthwatering though — can you believe that simple silver slip? I have goose bumps I want it so bad. Oh and the Kindle to slip inside it.

The Kindle DX Has Landed

This morning in NYC, Amazon's founder and CEO Jeff Bezos officially announced the Kindle DX, the larger-screened (9.7 inches large) wireless reading device. Unlike the Kindle 2 (which holds up to 1,500 books), this bad boy can be filled with 3,500 books with its 3.3 GB of memory. It also features an auto-rotating screen, a built-in PDF reader, and the battery life is said to last four days with wireless on and two weeks when it's off.

As you can probably guess, the bigger screen makes it easier to read books, newspapers, and magazines. And so far, five universities have already agreed to test it out, and three major newspapers will pilot the Kindle DX for a reduced price (the New York Times, Washington Post, and Boston Globe), so that subscribers will sign up for longer time periods. Bezos also revealed that Amazon has signed a partnership with three of the top textbook publishers that account for 60 percent of textbook sales.

You can preorder the device now (which is said to have a Summer release date) for $489.

I can give you multiple reasons why I love this concept piece I found on Coroflot. Not only is this hanging hard drive packed with virus-scanning software to help you track down any bugs that may have attacked your computer, but it can also recover any corrupted files, so it's actually a useful piece of equipment.

Plus, it's kinda cute in a totally out-of-left-field kind of way, and it flashes and glows in the dark while it's doing its thing. I'm hoping the concept artist releases these soon, cause I can really see myself picking one up, even if it's just for the fun of it!

Mini Ninja Cuteness Coming This Fall

Who doesn't love ninjas, especially when they're mini?! Fighting their way into your consoles this Fall is Mini Ninjas, which is sure to be the cutest game since LittleBigPlanet as far as I can tell from these screenshots. Mini Ninjas has you playing as one of two student ninjas that has been sent out by the Master Ninja to defeat the evil Samurai Warlord and his band of forest animal warriors.

Although you are your master's last choice to defeat the evil forces, you find that you have some serious skill as Hiro, the youngest of students, and a great intimidation factor as Futo, the largest (and of course, slowest) student. I can appreciate a great fighting game, but Mini Ninjas looks like it has a lot more going for it than just button mashing — the scenery looks fantastic, it has a cool retro art style, and the story seems to remain pretty positive, so even the younger set can enjoy playing.
