It's recommended to exfoliate your face anywhere between one and three times a week (depending on the sensitivity and type of your skin). I typically average about once a week simply because I forget, or, I'll just get lazy when I'm at the sink.
However, I find that by keeping a gentle product and spa gloves in the shower, it helps remind me to scrub, and moreover, enjoy scrubbing whilst my deep conditioner sets in — how's that for multitasking!
Exfoliating is essential for getting rid of dry, flaky and dull looking skin as well as keeping your pores clear. So tell me, about how often would you say that you exfoliate your face?
I was thinking about some of the things I'd love to do if I didn't write about beauty all day long. I think I'd choose to remain in the beauty world in some capacity, but I'm not sure if I'd want to open up my own salon, design my own line of makeup, or work in marketing for a budding brand. I do, however love thinking of fun and creative names for beauty related topics.
Whilst catchy phrases for a hair salon like Curl Up and Dye or Whoopdie 'Do seem a bit too cynical for my taste, brainstorming is half of the fun! So, I ask you, if you could name your own hair salon, what would you call it?
A good coat is integral to your wardrobe as through the winter months it will probably be your most worn item. I have a few coats that I switch between, and all of them need to be dry cleaned.
I definitely like to have them all cleaned over the Summer so they're ready for the Autumn, but I will also clean them a couple more times through the Winter. How about you – how often do you dry clean your coats?
Season after season I create beauty-related gift guides because I personally love gifting beauty products to my family and close friends. I realize that perfumes, makeup, nail polish, skincare and haircare items are quite personal purchases, especially when it comes to colours and scents. However, there are a handful of cult items that have been best sellers for so long, it's hard to ignore their universal appeal. Goodies like Chanel N°5 , Nars blusher in Orgasm or Revlon Red nail varnish don't make the most popular lists for years on end for nothing. So tell me, when it's time to indulge someone special, do you buy beauty products as presents?
Exercising regularly is the cheapest way that we can keep ourselves healthy and prevent disease. Each week it's recommended that adults get at least 150 minutes (two and a half hours) of moderate activity or 75 minutes (one hour and 15 minutes) of vigorous activity — or some combination of the two. Does your routine fit the bill? Tell me . . .
For years I'd bring photos of celebrities whose hair I coveted to the salon so that my stylist could get an idea of the look I was after. Most of the pictures were of Jennifer Aniston and Elle Macpherson, whose long, flowing golden highlights I envied — and by the looks of it, Cameron Diaz does the same thing! A little while back she was seen carrying a photo of Kate Moss to a hair appointment in Los Angeles. So ladies, it's time to spill it. Do you travel with pictures of other women's hair so that your stylist can re-create their look on you?
With my busy schedule between work and family, it's hard to coordinate exercising with a friend. So I end up sweating it out on my own most of the time. I do love working out with a buddy though, so at least once a week I try to plan fitness dates. If I exercise with someone who loves to push themselves, it really motivates me and I end up getting a better workout than if I were solo. How about you?
Spontaneity is something to cherish on vacations. Without adhering to a schedule, the days are yours to do whatever you want. Travel books are an additional expense that some travelers feel cramps their carefree style, while others rely on them for reviews and directions to places it would be a shame to miss. Do you tend to hit the bookstore before the day of your departure?
Exercise has many health benefits, but most people love that it burns calories. So that means it can help us lose weight, or it can prevent weight gain if we know we want to enjoy a hot fudge sundae later.
Tell me, is your main reason for exercising to be able to eat whatever you want and not have to worry about gaining weight?

The lineup for this year's T4 on the Beach is awesome, with a huge number of acts getting ready to wow the crowds on Sunday. I'm particularly excited to see Alesha Dixon, The Saturdays, Will Young, Little Boots, JLS and Florence & The Machine. Other artists include Dizzee Rascal, N-Dubz, The Noisettes, The Enemy, Gossip, Tommy Reilly, The Maccabees, Basement Jaxx, Fightstar, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and many more. I'd love to know how you're feeling about this year's festival, so tell me: which act are you most excited to see?
Town House Toppers have caught my eye many times at the grocery store — they're designed with an indent to hold more salmon cream cheese, tuna salad, or whatever miscellaneous spread you favor on top of your crackers. Ultimately, however, they've always seemed a little too frivolous for me to actually purchase.
While picnicking at Hog Island this past weekend, I finally had a chance to satisfy my curiosity. I can't say that they make a tremendous difference in the amount of topping you can put on a cracker, but for some inexplicable reason (perhaps the same reason I liked worry stones as a kid), I really enjoyed them. Could you get into the groove with these crackers?
The wait is nearly over people: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is released this week! I'd love to know how you're feeling about the upcoming release, so tell me: are you excited for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince?
