The royal madness isn't over yet! There's another new member of the royal family, and she may give Kate Middleton a run for her money. Yesterday, the Duchess of Cornwall adopted a rescue puppy named Beth from the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in London, and we can see why: how could anyone resist that face? Beth is about 4 months old, and was left at the Battersea shelter last month. We're so happy that this rescued pup will now be living the good life!

You all know him and love him on Facebook — in fact, he reached a million fans this month! — but soon, you'll be able to bring Boo the Facebook dog home with you. In book form, that is! Boo's owner has written a book about the little guy, Boo: The Life of the World's Cutest Dog, due out this Fall. According to Chronicle Books, it'll be written "in Boo's own words," and will chronicle his life as a "little dog in a big world." And, of course, it'll include lots of adorable photos!

Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest are one busy couple, but they've still found time to add a new member to their family! Julianne tweeted about her adorable new pup Harley, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, this morning. She also posted a Twitpic of herself snuggling with Harley and big sis Lexi — looks like the new siblings are hitting it off so far!

We all know and love the world's most famous Boo, but the adorable pomeranian and Facebook phenomenon isn't the only cute Boo out there. Meet Boo the orangutan, who made his debut at the Madrid Zoo this week. The 9-month-old cutie lost his mother a few months ago, and has since been adopted by another female orangutan and is being bottle-fed by zookeepers. For more cuteness, click away.
Third time's a charm! Shiba Inu mama Kika, who brought us the first two adorable iterations of the Shiba Inu puppy cam, has just given birth to a third (and final) litter. The six puppies — nicknamed the C-Team 6-Pack — are available for your viewing pleasure now; last time I checked, they were nursing hungrily. Awwww. These little guys have been caught red-handed! Zookeepers at ZSL London Zoo recently discovered that their squirrel monkeys have been snagging visitors' sunglasses. To keep the monkeying around from get out of hand during the warm, sunglass-filled Summer months, the little rascals are being given glasses smeared with bitter apple to turn them off of the thieving habit. Rescue efforts are far from over in Japan, as clean-up and recovery after the devastating earthquake and tsunami last month continue. Luckily, our four-legged friends have not been forgotten in these efforts; for every heartbreaking story about a pet separated from his owner, there's an equally heartwarming one about a sweet reunion.
This pup spent three weeks stranded on floating debris after the tsunami, and was finally reunited with his owners late last week. Watch the amazing reunion video below.
Most penguins have their own built-in wetsuits, but not this little guy! This 10-year-old Humboldt penguin lives at the Jurong Bird Park in Singapore, and has been losing his feathers since last year. To keep him warm and protected, he wears customized wetsuits! This isn't the first time we've seen a Humboldt penguin in a wetsuit, but this guy's condition seems to be lasting longer than usual. The suits are also supposed to encourage feather growth and prevent new feathers from falling out, so here's hoping he's on the mend. Click through for more cute photos of our featherless friend.

We fawned over him as a baby, rooted for him to find love, sympathized when he lost his caretaker, and celebrated birthdays with him. But our favorite polar bear, Knut, passed away on Saturday.
Most polar bears can live for up to 30 years in captivity, but Knut was only four when he died; zoo officials aren't yet sure what caused his death. We'll miss following his adventures, but for now, let's take a look back at some of our favorite Knut moments.
