I have always been conscious of the beauty products I use—aiming for items with as little to no chemicals—but when I became pregnant with Skyler Morrison, it was a serious game changer. For my entire term, I adopted a zero-harsh-ingredients policy for everything I touched from shampoo to face wash, mascara and all. As someone who is obsessive in their mani/pedi routine, I can tell you that I was thrilled to discover so many a-mah-zing organic lacquer lines...it wasn't hard at all to give up my go-to shades! Shown here today are five of my current favorite colors, each from a different eco-chic brand. xoRZ

What to Wear When You're Expecting

From the moment I first announced my pregnancy, the how-do-I-stay-stylish-while-prego questions became pouring in! After nearly nine months of troubleshooting the subject on my own, I am thrilled to point you in the right direction to help you figure out what to wear during this special time.

Starting with a very crucial everyday wardrobe element, your jeans, I have to say my #1 pregnancy fashion secret has been my Seven For All Mankind Bellbottom Maternity Jeans. Seriously, they are a lifesaver! With elastic side panels for tummy growth, you can wear them comfortably throughout your entire term without sacrificing an ounce of style.

Other free-form bottoms that I can't recommend enough are leggingsobvi—and one of this season's top sought-after silhouettes, a maxi-length skirt or dress. I love All Saints' Bleach Breton Dress. For tops, I recommend keeping it simple and chic with a long soft t-shirt. Try T by Alexander Wang's Classic Short Sleeve Tee.

Concerning footwear, I recommend staying relaxed in a pair of sophisticated flats or wedges—Tinley Road's Capri Wedges are ba-na-nas! Rock the rest of your accessories as you normally do—just don't forget to finish the look with a pair of oversize sunnies to hide fatigue! xoRZ

Rachel Zoe's Valentine's Day Picks

Valentine's Day brings up a lot of mixed emotions for everyone — but my feelings are that no matter if you are single or coupled up, February 14th is just another day to flaunt your style. Right? While I am not one to condone an all-over red and pink ensemble — scary — I do think it is appropriate to ring in Cupid's day with a touch or two of the holiday's hues. What I have in mind is a gorgeous red dress (paired with neutral accessories), sexy magenta stilettos, a crimson bow clutch or other special accessory that you will be able to wear again and again. Love! If you really want to go for something subtle, paint a pop of red polish on your nails to make a sexy yet subdued statement. Now, go plan your outfit now and you will knock it out of the park for St. Valentine. xoRZ

Rachel Zoe's Faux Fur Styling Tips

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel shares her favorite fur pieces.

One of my favorite past-times is clicking through Style.com's comprehensive database of runway collections — both old and new. Obviously, Chanel is always prominently on my radar, and this season, the Parisian fashion house really set the bar. With a glacial-inspired theme, Karl Lagerfeld delivered a show-stopping presentation of head-to-toe faux fur ensembles, ice block purses, and frosty jewelry. I D.I.E.

Thankfully, for most of us who are fashion-hungry yet on a budget, Chanel's arctic influence has filtered down throughout reasonably priced collections — making it a must to incorporate the look into our own wardrobes. With faux fur everywhere to be found, I selected a few of my ultimate favorite styles — shaggy jackets, cozy boots, and earmuffs! — for channeling Chanel this season and beyond. Read on and get ready to freeze over your closet! xoRZ

Love Leather

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report.
Rachel Zoe's Leather Picks

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel shows us her favorite leather picks.

As we transition deeper into Fall, the demand for leather is on the rise! One of the most stylish and versatile textiles, this season designers have gone above and beyond the leather jacket to give us leather dresses, shirts, handbags, and everything. Intrigued? Let's talk about how to work the tough fabric into your wardrobe . . .

The easiest and most accessible leather goodies come in the form of footwear and arm candy, so my first instinct is to reach for a pair of sky-high leather wedges or a leather envelope clutch to add depth to any look. Ba-na-nas. Next, I love a leather shirt or shorts — paired with opaque tights — for an unexpected day-to-night ensemble. Wear leather shorts with a sheer blouse, blazer and open-toe booties . . . or a leather shirt with skinny jeans and platform pumps — both wardrobe choices are flawless. Finally, I could never forget a classic leather jacket. Whether you rock an older worn-in piece that is already in your closet or one of this season's coveted shearling leather jackets, the outerwear option is the perfect substitute to a blazer — an irreplaceable in your closet from Fall to Winter and beyond. Loves it. No matter how you choose to wear leather this season, just dive headfirst into the trend and don't look back. xoRZ

Big Steps

Rachel Zoe's Chunky Heel Picks 2010-10-12 10:00:04

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel discusses chunky heels.

Now that the Fall season is well under way, take a look around and you'll notice that everything in the fashion world appears to be bigger. Pant legs are wider, sweaters are oversized, and heels are chunkier than ever! Major. This larger-than-life phenomenon can be embraced throughout your entire wardrobe, but since footwear plays such a key role in one's day-to-day look, I suggest starting there.

With my eyes set on a sturdy heel, I have sought out the best of this season's statement shoes for your viewing — and wearing — pleasure. Whether you prefer leather motorcycle boots, a glam metallic pair of heels, or open-toed platforms, I promise there is at least one sole mate here for you today. Intrigued? Browse the bananas selection now and remember to go big or go home this Fall! xoRZ

Major Military Style

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report.
Rachel Zoe on Military Trend

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel shares her military style picks.

Spotted on the runways, on the streets, and all over fashion blogs, the military-inspired style is undeniably a major trend this Fall. With so many service-ready pieces to choose from — chunky green jackets, cargo pants, and even khaki nail polish — it is beyond easy to work the look into your wardrobe. However, keep in mind to only rock one to two pieces of militia gear at a time, because suiting up head to toe isn't so chic. Now, there are a few different ways to take on the trend, but I'd start with an army jacket or vest. Choose a style with a cinched or belted waist and think of it as a substitute for your black blazer to be worn with a feminine dress or jeans and a tee. Next, pick out a flattering pair of skinny cargo pants. A new twist on the skinny jean, the extra detailing makes the style a go-to look for Fall. Concerning footwear, I love the look of tough girl booties to transition you into Fall. Find a pair that lace up or with buckles and wear them with your favorite skirt and thick socks. Last but not least, it all comes down to the details with a khaki mani — as mentioned in The Zoe Report — and a glam sequin handbag to keep your overall aesthetic very fashion forward. xoRZ

The Trouser Trend

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report.
Rachel Zoe Trouser Trend

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel tackles the trouser trend.

While finding the perfect pant can be a time-consuming and sometimes exhausting process, one style that never seems to disappoint is the trouser. As a staple in my own wardrobe, I cannot imagine a better silhouette for any occasion. Just think, maybe you have a day full of errands ahead and you want to look polished, not sloppy — or maybe you are attending a work function that calls for something understated and dressy . . . simply reach for a streamlined pair of trousers and you will shut it down in either scenario!

There are so many fab options at your fingertips, but I recommend starting with something versatile like 7 For All Mankind's new Featherweight Trouser Jeans. Not only is the waistband just right, but the dark wash can easily go from day to night; plus, they are a personal fave. Play up the flared leg with a chic pair of flats or chunky heels, and balance out your look from top to bottom by opting for a button down blouse. Per-fec-tion. Denim is totally appropriate in many workplaces, but if you are looking for something a little more professional, a tuxedo or black trouser is the ticket. Rock them with a structured jacket, bright scarf, and wedges, and you will take office chic to the next level. xoRZ

Take It to the Max

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report.
Rachel Zoe's Tips on Maxi Skirts

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel talks all things maxi!

If there is one silhouette I am coveting for Fall, it is a totally versatile and fashionable maxi dress or skirt. The floor-length style is very sophisticated yet easygoing and comfortable . . . who doesn't love that? So welcome the new season by lengthening your hemlines and introducing a maxi into your wardrobe asap!

The trick to owning the look is to aim for something in a lightweight fabric — cotton jersey or silk — and accessorizing accordingly. Rock a maxi casually during the day with flat distressed motorcycle boots and a colorful fringe scarf, then take it to night with high wedges and glam jewels — think dazzling earrings or a chunky necklace. So beyond. If your maxi of choice happens to be a skirt, be mindful to pair it with a body-hugging top (anything that is too flowy or loose all around is not flattering). Lastly, never forget to add your own personal spin on the look — maybe a cross-body bag or a multichain belt — and you will without a doubt look OOC this Fall season. xoRZ

Pack It Up, in Style

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report.

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel offers her expert packing tips!

Next in line to styling, I would have to say my greatest skill is the art of packing. Between jet-setting to every Fashion Week around the world, traveling with clients to premieres, and making time for my own beachfront escapes, I have countless hours under my belt practicing how to most efficiently — and stylishly — get from point A to point B. Here are a few of my secrets . . .

1. Assuming you are trekking with an upright rolling suitcase, I suggest layering your belongings inside in the following order: shoes on the bottom (put socks in them to keep their shape and place them within a drawstring bag), folded jeans in the middle, and everything else — blouses, dresses, blazers — on top. Make sure these items are laid neatly flat with as few folds as possible.

Fall Footwear

Editor’s note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report.
Rachel Zoe's Fall Footwear Picks 2010-08-19 07:50:22

Editor’s note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel suggests Fall footwear . . . you ready for this?

Marching forward into Fall, there are countless types of shoes I envision on my feet . . . where to begin? It is a no brainer that boots are center stage this season so naturally, I have my eye on countless styles. First up are over-the-knee boots — OTK for short — as they are more coveted than ever before and come in many gorgeous variations for you to lust over . . . heeled, flat, suede, leather . . . DIE for all of them. If you have yet to delve into this trend, now is the time!

Other standout members of the boot family are riding boots and, of course, booties. Aim for ankle-height interpretations with lace-up detailing, a wedge structure and sturdy heel, and you will flawlessly finish any look.

In general, I have noticed many Spring/Summer shoe trends carry right on into Fall/Winter — meaning clogs and chunky wedges are still a go! — along with new cold-weather appropriate characteristics: love faux fur and shearling. Keep all of this in mind as you shoe shop and take further inspiration from the group you see here — carefully selected by moi. Lastly, please don't be afraid to wear your open-toe heels throughout the season . . . just throw on some tights or socks to stay cozy and strut your stuff. xoRZ

Editor’s note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel layers her look!

There are still a few weeks left to embrace the hot weather in our denim cutoffs and bright mini rompers, but it is impossible to not be thinking ahead to Fall. A season for layering, I have sought out a few ready-to-layer pieces for you to add to your closets. The good news is, with the right approach, you can keep wearing your Spring and Summer clothes right on into the cooler days. Just keep in mind a few key tricks and you're set: add black tights under your shorts and dresses, wear an army or denim jacket over blouses and basic tees, or slip socks on with your wedges or heels . . . so chic! The final touch, of course, comes with an oversize scarf — wrap it around over your ensemble as you're heading out the door and ta-da, a lovely layered look. xoRZ

Do Denim

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report.

Denim has always been a mah-jor player in our wardrobes, thanks to blue jeans, but it is currently reaching new heights in many other forms. Take a look around everywhere from the shelves of department stores to the pages on style blogs and you'll find the functional fabric has taken shape in button-up tops, flirty dresses, and even accessories for a look and feel that is suave and interesting, yet effortless . . . trust me, you want to get in on it! Shifting away from the norm of skinny jeans and cutoff shorts, I have selected a few unexpected denim picks for you to incorporate into your closet. Play it casual in your denim or dress the look up (just add a blazer, pumps, and some bling!) depending on the occasion — either way, I promise you'll shut it down. xoRZ

Do Not Disturb Signs

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report.
Rachel Zoe's Sunglasses Shopping Picks 2010-07-26 12:00:22

Editor's note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel dishes about her favorite accessory.

In terms of fashion meeting function, there is no accessory more crucial than a standout pair of sunnies . . . or do not disturb signs, as I like to call them. They put the finishing touch on an outfit while protecting your eyes from the sun or concealing puffiness from a late night out (we've all been there). When shopping for a new pair, pay attention to the shape so you choose something that flatters your face AND color — I almost always suggest neutrals since sunglasses are something you will wear every day. Also, keep in mind that you do not have to spend a fortune to get a-mah-zing sunnies. True, it is great to have at least one very nice pair — Oliver Peoples Balmain 2 Aviators are my ultimate fantasy — but there are countless stylish options out there with savvy price tags. For inspiration on a few different styles at a variety of prices, read on and see my current top five do not disturb sign picks . . . ! xoRZ

What to Wear to Work

Editor’s note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report.

Editor’s note: The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel advises on work wardrobe dos and dont's.

Thankfully, the rules of business dressing are not how they used to be. While I do love a classic secretary suave look — à la Banana Republic's Mad Men-inspired silhouettes — I think the modern day woman is fortunate to have a little bit more flexibility with her wardrobe. The level of freedom depends, of course, on the type of work environment you're in.

For instance, if you are someone in a corporate setting, you should aim to build your wardrobe all around a great suit! Find one that fits perfectly (or have it tailored) in black, gray, or another neutral, then wear it a million different ways. The idea is that when you invest in a full suit, you can break it up and incorporate each piece — a jacket, vest, pants, pencil skirt, etc. — with what you already have in your closet. Try something as simple as wearing your suit jacket over a white blouse and pair of jeans, then punch it up with an accessory or two.

White Out

The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report.
Rachel Zoe's White Clothing Picks 2010-07-07 09:00:22

The following is a guest post written by Rachel Zoe, stylist, fashion designer, and creator of The Zoe Report. This week Rachel shows us her blanco fashion selections.

During the Fall, everything and everyone in the fashion world tends to steer in a darker direction, so naturally, the inclination for Summer is the total opposite: bright and light! A striking white piece or two — be it clothing or an accessory — will give an instant lift to any outfit. Think: a white denim jacket, bleached-out shorts or even some ivory nail polish . . .beyond chic. Read on for the whiteout picks that I am currently coveting and incorporate them into your Summer looks for a vibe that is just as stylish as your all-black ensembles . . . but less expected. Lastly, please don't be afraid to rock your pale pieces throughout the colder months too — not wearing white after Labor Day is so passé. xoRZ
