World of Warcraft Climbs to Over 11 Million Users

Forget gambling addiction, the multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft has just reached 11.5 million subscribers worldwide.

The game, by Blizzard Entertainment, released its second expansion of the game called Wrath of the Lich King this past November, which sold 2.8 copies in just 24 hours. I'm not a huge WoW fan, but actress Mila Kunis claims to be obsessed with it, and we've heard that its on-going gameplay nature has a tendency to tear couples apart.

All I can say is you know it's bad when there's a wikiHow on how to break a WoW addiction.

I love WoW. My husband and I each have our own accounts and will even play together sometimes. We're not addicted though, we can quit any time, lol.

I'm waiting for that show Intervention to help a WoW addict. I play MMOs and there was a point at which I played more than I ought to have, but I got over it and now play maybe 1 or 2 times a week. I guess I don't have much of an addictive personality. I thought WoW was really really boring. Now, I play LOTRO instead.

I can't even try and play, I know I don't have time. I do have quite a few friends that do play and love it. My main client hosts the Blizzcon convention every year and it is fun to see all the gamers and geeks lined up waiting to be let in :-)

I never got into WoW. It never sparked my interest. I'd rather just play Neverwinter Nights or Fate or something else. But I do love the new WoW commercial with Ozzy. It's a hoot.

The problem is that WoW feels SO much like a full time job!There was a Penny Arcade comic after Wratch of the Litch King was released about how it was basically not worth getting excited about because the expansion will still feel like WoW!!I got excited about the graphics for a bit and me and a few friends have a "social" evening where we'll log in and play as a party but really I am sick of it now.
