The HTC EVO 4G is widely regarded as the iPhone 4's closest competition, and things are getting even more heated between the two now that it's been discovered that the EVO 4G will be released in white. Two powerful gadgets, one chic color.

These two phones really do stack up to one another. However, there is one thing the HTC EVO 4G has that the iPhone doesn't: a release date. Best Buy is taking white EVO 4G preorders starting today for $199 (with a two-year contract), and it will be available for purchase on July 11. The white iPhone 4? Still MIA. So tell me — would you rather a white HTC EVO 4G or white iPhone 4?

I have an EVO and it's not falling apart for me. I love this thing. I wish the white one came out at launch but I still love the one I have.

i loved the old white iphones but not the white iphone 4. i'm getting the evo 4g (in white!) because i like it better, sprint is cheaper and better in socal, and because of the screen size, my goodness that screen size! lol btw, best buy is pretty well known for not doing mail-in rebates on phones so i'm pretty sure there's no dealing with mir if you purchase at best buy.

isn't everyone saying the Evo is falling apart on them? I thin ki'll keep up my brand loyalty.

I think the iPhone looks really nice in white. I was bummed that the Evo in white is basically the black Evo with a white back plate (are you kidding?) but the more I see it, the more I do like the oreo look...

I love the iPhone 4; have done everything withing my power to ensure that I have the best possible chance to get one on Release Day. However, I HATE the white version SO MUCH that, if the iPhone 4 only came in white, I would just wait for the iPhone 5 without a second thought. The white seems to change the whole dynamic of the phone from its mean, cutting edge look to a dainty fun-toy theme. I just don't think it does the justice the iPhone deserves.
