Twitter's Highest Number of Tweets Per Second

Last year, Twitter tracked the Super Bowl with an interesting graph of tweets, highlighting when certain actions (like touchdowns or interesting commercials) went down. This year, it has released the numbers behind the spike in tweets throughout the game. Twitter users set a record number of tweets per second for a sporting event, too; 4,064 at 10:07:16 p.m. EST, very close to the end of the game.

While this number beats the previous sporting record set during the World Cup, it's not the event with the largest number of tweets per second – 6,939 tweets per second were recently recorded. Can you guess when it happened?
