Twitter Releases New Android App

Yesterday, Twitter released its official Android application, available to download for free now. The app joins Twitter's official BlackBerry app and forthcoming iPhone application based on popular app Tweetie.

Twitter for Android makes posting messages, photos, and links super simple. You can also view a tweet location on a map and see your friend’s latest tweets in your phone book and Gchat list. It's available for phones running Android 2.1 and above.
