Do you live in fear of speeding tickets? I no longer drive, but when I did, they were the bane of my existence. Too bad I wasn't a driver in the time of the iPhone, because Trapster is the latest app that I'm declaring brilliant.

With this free app, the theory is that you, as the driver (though I'd make the person riding shotgun do it for safety's sake), will just tap the app's map (which is following you via GPS) to report a cop car hiding out with his radar gun.

Reported cop car/radar gun sightings go to a database, which alerts other drivers with the app in the area that they should watch out. Verrrry sneaky.

yeah the place shown on the app always has cops there i usually forget and am speeding but luckily someone is always speeding more than me

Cops seriously love to give me tickets... ESPECIALLY speeding tickets. I get a moving violation at least ONCE a year! Seriously... cops love me... I am downloading this ASAP!

my bf could've used this today! i wish all these apps weren't just for the iphone! they're soo cool. the motorcycle cops are the sneakiest (i know, they're just doing their job) but i'm still bitter! lol

That's pretty cool! 280 always has a ton of cops after passing the 85 junction (as shown). One time there was 3 cops on each side stationed on that freeway.
