Totally Geeky or Geek Chic? Kung Fu Kids Tape Dispenser

No workspace is complete without a few fun desk accessories, but I can't decide if this Kung Fu Kids Tape Dispenser falls into the chic category. On the one hand, it's simple, clean and a real conversation starter. I mean Kung Fu and Martial arts are all about enhancing the "chi" that flows within the body - something we should all focus on while sitting out our desks. On the other hand, it might encourage far too many "Grasshopper" jokes from your overeager boss. It costs $5.99.

If I find this in the Corporate Express catalog next time I order office supplies, I'm getting myself one. I'm not going to cross my fingers though, Corporate Express isn't much fun.

I wish the figurine had more of a functional and aesthetic purpose to the tape dispenser, but it seems like its just for looks. There are some really cute gadgets too designed by "Fred."
