Titan Laptop Case: Love It or Leave It?

Holy heavy duty, Batman. I know I said I wanted a case that would protect my delicate flower of a laptop, but do I really need gnarly molded polycarbonate that kind of makes me look like Bob the Builder?

Aesthetics aside, ain't nothing getting to my laptop through this Titan X2 Flash Laptop Case. It looks crazy strong, and if Titan's rep and the "German tradition of engineered excellence" are true, then trying to mess with it would be like that Halliburton scene in Lost.

But worth the $445? Hmm. Would you get this for your laptop?

I think I'm the only person who thinks this is really cool. It looks like something from a futuristic spy movie, or maybe X-Men.

these are actually supposed to be an addition to their luggage of the same series ->> http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/2707/1450x2flash2008gruppepivd5.jpg (a bit cuter, no?), which makes a bit more sense because i can see this would be a good carry on for a flight. for everyday use however, this is just really a bit to much. it also scratches really easily, plus they sell for 66euro in germany, which would be 85 USD, unless i am overlooking something, the pricing on that site is absolutely ridic. just thought this might be good to know in case anyone is (actually..) interested in this, imagine what you could buy for the extra 360 USD... :)

That's not exactly the most attractive thing to be hauling around all day. Maybe if your roughing it doing research on mountain hydrology, but not for everyday use.
