Three Million iPhones Available on June 29th

This is as official as it's going to get folks...wait for it...Business Week has just announced that there will be three million iPhones ready for sale on June 29, although our Apple friends won't confirm this. Urggh. I wonder if this figure is only for the United States? Is there an International launch? According to Ars Technica, Piper Jaffray's Gene Munster predicts that Apple will sell all of 3.2 million iPhones by the end of the year and figures will exponentially increase in years to follow. Translation: Good-bye iPod hello revolutionary iPhone? Time to get my sleeping bag, water bottles and DS Lite prepped for June 29th!

Exciting but I'm going to wait for it to come out in G3... because I know when it will be. =)

After jumping on the TMobile sidekick train, I've learned to ALWAYS wait for the SECOND version to come out. The first version WILL have glitches in it. Save your money and wait for the reviews to come out first before you make an impulse buy.

I can't afford $500 for a cell phone. My T-Mobile contract ends next year so i'll wait until then before I get one. Hopefully the price will go down too.

Interesting - the price seems to have already lowered... when I first saw this phone at the tech conference in Vegas it was 600 - 800 dollars. The linked article above quotes it at a bit more reasonable $499. Still pretty steep, but its quite a device!

i've been on the apple and at&t notification lists since the initial announcement and have been salivating over this phone for months! simply cannot wait to get one.
