Finally, our favorite movie sets right where they belong — on our desk, in miniaturized temperate woodland habitats. Clearly. The Hobbit, Beetlejuice, and The Nightmare Before Christmas come to life via inspired terrariums with rolling hills, tiny homes, and live ferns, moss, and lichen. If there was a Venn diagram with biology on the right and geekdom on the left, then Etsy shop Face of the Earth's amazing living ecosystems would be right in the middle.

Maybe we'll put off getting a puppy this Christmas and care for one of these tabletop terrariums instead. Baby steps, young Bilbo. Baby steps.
