Kindle Fire HD

The Kindle Fire was big news when announced last year as a multimedia tablet ready to battle with the kingpin iPad, and now Amazon's taking aim at the new iPad's retina display with the introduction of the Kindle Fire HD [2]. We look at the coolest features of this revamped tablet.

Another New Kindle!

After days of speculation as to what new product Amazon had up its sleeve for this week's LA press conference, it all started with a backlit ereader called Kindle Paperwhite [3]. Sharper with a higher-contrast display than the Kindle Touch, the new device uses Amazon-made Paperwhite [4] technology, a blend of adjustable backlighting and traditional e-ink with a capacitive touch screen display.
