obviously this has nothing to do with need. i mean who needs a personal jet for instance? at least the gold being used is going towards a computer that will likely be used several times a day rather than a gold tiara or whatever nonsense stuff people have...

I'm with glam sugar. and the others that think it's unnecessary. it's honestly not tacky or gaudy looking though. Apple pulls it off. just too show off and not for me.
