T-Mobile Windows Phone 8
T-Mobile's Windows Phone 8 Holiday Lineup, Side by Side
The presidential election isn't the only tough choice facing Americans this November, as today T-Mobile announced the mid-November availability of two Windows 8 phones, just in time for the holiday season: the Windows Phone 8X by HTC and Nokia Lumia 810. But which of these 4.3-inch display smartphones is right for you?

Today's Windows Phone 8 announcement brings mobile to the Microsoft metro layout mix, which already includes the new Surface Tablet and Windows 8 desktop OS. If you're a T-mobile subscriber sold on upgrading to the latest Windows Phone, take a look at our side-by-side comparison of the carrier's holiday offerings.
| Price | $149 | $99 |
| Display | 1280 x 720 | 800 x 400 |
| Rear Camera | 8 MP, 1080p video | 8 MP, 1080p video |
| Front Camera | 2.1 MP | 1.2 MP |
| Memory | 16GB storage | 8GB storage (up to 32GB with micro SD) |
| Entertainment | Built-in Beats by Dre audio | Nokia Music, free unlimited radio streaming |
The Nokia Lumia certainly bests the HTC option on price, but the Windows Phone 8X has a far better display and a slightly better front-facing camera. Both have notable music features, with HTC winning on the hardware side and Nokia winning on the software side.
The phones are expected to be available at T-Mobile and Windows retail stores nationwide on Nov. 14. And just a note — the price listed reflects the T-Mobile Value Plan, which requires a two-year contract (more info on pricing is available here).
