Star Wars Book Covers: Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?

School is back in session, which mean kiddies all over are getting new textbooks that need to be covered and protected from spills, pencil marks and doodles. While text book covers are usually made of bright neon colored paper, the people at Star Wars.com have introduced the world to covers designed by artists Katie Cook and Grant Gould and inspired by the dark side. I happen to think they're cute for, well, anyone who needs book covers. What do you think, are these geek alert items or chic enough to make you the coolest kid in detention?

i want some!!! i loved having covered textbooks when i was younger. i should do that again! it would make selling them back better - them not having as many scratches on them etc

aww dammit! Why did I JUST graduate high school?!?! I would've rocked the SHIT out of these covers! :D I'll use them but I secretly think it's way too geeky to cover books in college :P

These are really cute. When I was young, we'd get blank book covers from the school, decorate them, and then cover them in see-thru contact paper. Those book covers would last all year.If I was still in school, I'd rock these, nerdy or not.

I'm a semi-Star Wars fan myself. But I can't help but think this is a good way for a kid in school to guarantee themselves a wedgie by their classmates.
