Do Your Grandparents Game?

It goes without saying in my house that my grandpa loves the Wii. He's really taken to bowling and can even kick my high score to the curb on a regular basis. But I didn't know he was such a gaming fanatic! On a recent trip through Target (I'm there like, every day. You thought I was kidding?), he jumped at the chance to play a demo of Too Human. Who knew he was such a tactical fighter?!

Am I alone in having a game-savvy senior in the family? Do your grandparents game?

i don't have any grandparents any more, but i think that if they were around, they wouldn't be into gaming. my grandmother wasn't the most tech savvy and i think that this would probably be too complicated for her...as much fun as it is.

My grandmother tries wii fit every time she visits - and she has a blast. She also likes wii play and we have had her try excite truck, too (and my mother loved excite truck - I could hardly pull her away). My grandmother is actually thinking about getting a wii so she can do more wii fit.

Its not my grandparents that play video games, but my mom looooooooves them. She has her own nitendo ds and she is always playing with it. =}

Nope, but it's going to be really funny when *we're* old and playing first person shooters in our retirement community lan parties.

I wish! The most gaming my mom's mother does is Mahjong - REAL Mahjong with actual tiles. My other grandmother plays crosswords. My parents, however, are a different story - my mom can destroy me in Dr Mario, though my father was the primary influence behind my sisters' and my gaming. He used to present quite the challenge in Goldeneye and went out of his way to download a Nintendo 64 emulator just for Conker's Bad Fur Day. They're not gamer grandparents yet, but they (hopefully) will be some time within the next few years!

OMG that is the cutest thing ever! My grandparents had an Intellivision then later a SNES where they played Burger Time and astroids. It was the only time I would hear my grandpa cuss. You always knew when he had sneaked off to play when you heard expletives coming from the back room ;-) I don't think they are playing too much these days though :-/
