The Clocky Robot Alarm ($50 to $60) is ideal for deep sleepers. Originally the project of engineering student Gauri Nanda, the clock beeps loudly in a random pattern. Here's the kicker, though: it can jump up to three feet, then move along wood or carpet so that you're forced to catch it and turn it off. (Tip: if you aren't into the jump-and-hunt routine, you can disable the wheels, and the clock will remain still.)
