Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 opens in theaters tomorrow, and while we're looking forward to seeing the final chapter in the series, it's not easy closing the book on our favorite characters. Hermione Granger is easily one of the most memorable, but she's also a great role model for budding witches and geeks everywhere. There are plenty of reasons to love Hermione and we've singled out seven here. Read all about it in the gallery!
Hermione can be found rummaging through old books in the library in order to learn new potions, spells, and the history of magic. She's a bookworm who always has the right answer, and we love her for that.
She Takes Risks
Ms. Granger is no stranger to taking risks with magic and otherwise, and can face danger head on with a level head.
Hermione faces her fears head-on, and isn't afraid to ruffle some feathers . . . or punch Malfoy in the mouth. She's a strong female character that girls can, and should look up to.
She's a Good Friend
When push comes to shove, Hermione's got your back when you need her. She's also the glue that holds her friendships together, and has been known to play the mediator between Ron and Harry when tempers flare. Boys are so needy.
Hermione doesn't jump to conclusions, and always makes decisions with a clear mind. She knows when to act, and when to be patient, and tries her best to keep Harry and Ron away from danger.
She Follows Her Instincts
Though she uses her head, she also trusts her instincts, even when it leads her into precarious situations.
She's a Lover and a Fighter
Hermione is a fierce fighter, but has intense love for her friends. It's the perfect combination of qualities that can help Harry along in his hero's journey.
