Skateboard Speaker Shelf: Love It or Leave It?

Pottery Barn has added some youthful and colorful flair to their Smart Tech furniture line, resulting in a skateboard shelf that plays your totally tubular tunes. It comes with two built-in speakers, easy-mount French cleats, and a dock that’s compatible with most iPods. The models definitely rids the Smart Tech line of its "understated and hidden" reputation, but I imagine they'd be pretty cute in a child's room.

wow innovative design incorporating 2 different things into one, the companion of a skateboardist the skateboard and the iPod combined plus speakers, hope to have a remote for this.

Pottery Barn in general is expensive. I love the pink/turq. combo, but this one isn't for me.

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't own something so colourful if you were 'emo'(tional) spazzydana... Personally, I love it! A nice focal point for a room, that's also functional!
