In case you haven't heard the buzz, God of War III is coming out this month, and it's going to be epic. Although Kratos (the main character) gives me the willies, I'm totally down to slash and burn with the best of them. I understand that gaming has traditionally been a "man's world," so to speak, but I couldn't help but chuckle at the newest ad for the title, which is slated to start airing later this week. The premise is funny, but seriously — how many of you gals out there are going to be battling your BF for the controller!? Check out the commercial and then tell me: are you playing God of War III when it's released on March 16?

Ha, I love watching people play games! I join in if its a more light-hearted fun vintage game (Nintendo is more my thing), but as far as the scary hi-tech images/game play in PS3, I can sit and watch my BF play for HOURS... its like an interactive movie to me.
1I was unfamiliar with the series until earlier today when I was enlightened to the sex mini games, which I guess are standard in the series? Anyway, I'm all for video game violence, but I just find sex in video games to be kind of weird and awkward. Pound that analog stick, baby!
2I haven't played this before but my husband and I are both gamers and I log more hours, so the commercial doesn't really work for us.
3Oh, and agree with Pistil. Sex in videogames is usually just awkward. Except for Dragon Age: Origins. The sex scenes were hilarious!
