Although the iPod Slide is just a concept item that I found while cruising Tuvie, I would love to see this sleek MP3 player in production.
I like the tiny size of the iPod shuffle, but the thing I dislike is the lack of control. Sure, you can stuff all your favorite tunes into it, but you can't get to a song you may really want to hear when you want to hear it. So the iPod slide is the perfect mix of control in a similar ultra compact body. Sadly, I know Apple well enough to know that this will never become a reality — they just don't "do" sliders.

Why don't they do sliders?? It's a cool idea
1Nice I-pod, really impressive design , maybe why they don't do sliders, it's because it is very sensitive in flex wires that are easily get broken. and more it is a very thin gadget
2i like nanos better. a nano with a camera, THATS what i wanna see.
3yes yes yes. All this technology is great. My pocket is getting thinner by the minute for the thinnest smallest device. Thinner and thinner until its empty like my bank account. Maybe in ten years ipods will be a piece of metal so thin its like paper that spits out from a vending machine and has some sort of wireless blue tooth connection, so you can walk around and listen to it with a paper thin bud in your ear. Then just throw it away like a paper cup. Or maybe use it like a paper cup too for our Starbucks coffees too? Or maybe we'll all have computers that are paper thin hanging down from our ceilings like in the movie Minority Report. Don't get me wrong, but I love it all. Its just, well when is it we will have flying cars like Bladerunner and instant plastic surgery like Logan's Run?
