The best of us geeks can be a little wary about GPS. Though common sense dictates that you shouldn't drive your car directly into a solid object, no matter how nice the voice telling you to do it is, some people are so trusting of tech that stuff happens.

You know what never directed anyone into a bridge? The original Global Positioning System: the handwritten note. The GPS notepad is a gag for anyone who remembers simpler times of drawing a map for your friends and hoping they can follow your instructions. It's also a lot cheaper!

I have the Garmin as well, and agree it is quiet hysterical when that voice tells you "recalculating" I get lost in my own back yard, so I would be lost forever with the paper GPS. Thank goodness for modern day technology. How did we ever get along with out it? LOL

I love the company that makes these. I have of few of their other notepads and they crack me up and are actually really helpful. :)

We have a Garmin, and the voice is sort of condescending, actually. Especially if you accidentally miss a turn or decide you want to go a different way (like when we first got it and were testing it out by entering my parents' address). She says "recalculating" in the most annoyed tone--cracks us up every time. :)
