Oprah's First-Ever Cell Phone Makes an Appearance

One celebrity I never get to use in my regular Match the Celeb With the Cell Phone feature is Oprah Winfrey. Why? Because girlfriend "didn't" have a cell phone — until now! On a recent episode of her show, Oprah revealed to financial guru Suze Orman that she finally got a CELL PHONE! As reluctant as she was to come over to the cell phone dark side, Oprah decided it was time and showed off her latest tech toy at Tuesday's election night victory rally in Chicago.

From what my geeky eyes can see, Oprah either has a shiny and new BlackBerry Bold or a BlackBerry 8830 World Edition model. How cute is the matching case/outfit combo? She's already working the trendy tech accessories! I wonder what made her realize it was time to get techie? Maybe her new found love for the Kindle?

If you really believe that she don't have a cell phone then thats really sad. You never see the mic pack on the back of her body but its there all the time. She has a cell phone and probably only a few people have the number. Those assistants are not on her azz all the time.

There are many days I wish I wasn't a slave to my cell phone. Too bad Oprah had to come to the dark side. :P

Skigurl, that makes sense as to why she'd never have a cell phone... still, it's surprising she didn't have one. I was excited to see her at Obama's acceptance speech, she looked soooo happy. It was great.

if you're oprah, you don't need a cell phone because you have 4 assistants trailing behind you wherever you goif she needs to get ahold of stedman or gayle or other personal calls, she can use one of theirs (which she obviously pays for) and all busines stuff would come through there toobut her green combo is adorable!
