Nikon's Coolpix Cam Now Comes With Wi-Fi

Okay, before you get all jazzed about Nikon's latest Coolpix S51c with Wi-Fi, let me forewarn you that the Wi-Fi seems to only work with Nikon's new 'My Picturetown' application — still, imagine how cool it would be if you could send pics via Wi-Fi elsewhere? This hot pink cam, which was featured on Engadget, comes with 8.1 megapixels, a 3-inch LCD and an optical lens shift vibration reduction. Price is approximately $407, or $51 less if you don't get the Wi-Fi feature.

Just tried out this camera, the shot to shot speed was incredibly slow. Would recommend getting another.

With as much advertising they do on flickr, they should just partner with them so it goes to a flickr account.

i would have loved this if it had bluetooth capablilities as well. the wi fi is pretty cool but maybe the bluetooth would have given this more universality. gorgeous camera, i love my nikon slr, so i would bet this would be great too. but about 500 bucks after taxes? ouch!

I like the camera, but it sucks when you're bound to having to use a proprietary software program.

I like the brown one best.. and the idea of the wi-fi thing is nifty but U don't know if I could handle being chained to their app.

With Apple's new webgallery feature and the ability to email pics to be posted immediately a camera with wi fi capabilities would be awesome. I found myself taking pics with my iPhone just so I could have them posted right away.

the ability to email pictures right away would be awesome. inevitably at a group gathering, we all say "send me the pictures", but it doesn't always happen. the current price is a little steep, so hopefully it'll become more standard and thus more affordable.
