New iPhone 4 FaceTime TV Ads

The iPhone 4's FaceTime feature is really cool in action, but really, I don't know how many people will actually use it on a regular basis. I mean, not only do you have to have a WiFi connection, but you can only use it between two iPhone 4 users. How many of your friends and family members have (or are planning on getting) an iPhone 4? Probably not enough to warrant a purchase of an iPhone 4 for this feature alone. And now that you have Fring, which allows video calls over a 3G connection between iPhone and Android users, well, that's even less of a reason to use the 4's native feature.

Despite FaceTime's limitations, Apple has released a series of new TV ads that show different ways the feature can be used and how it can become a part of your everyday life. Check out the first one above (which I'll admit is kind of a tearjerker — so sweet!) and the rest after the break and tell me — do these ads totally sell you on a new iPhone 4, or does it seem like a stretch that everyone in your family would buy an iPhone 4 in order to communicate this way?
