The Music Industry Wants Cash For iTunes Song Previews

iTunes without the 30-second song sample/preview? I can't even imagine! Well it could happen, that or we'll have to pay for that little song intro because music publishers are requesting royalties from iTunes for their music song samples. Apple may also get slammed with paying licensing fees to ASCAP and BMI for the downloads of TV shows and films it sells. I don't know about you, but it's those short clips that actually entice me to buy certain songs. I usually listen to the preview to make sure that's the track I want to buy. And if I can't listen to a small snip of it, I'll probably just continue to listen to it on a free-streaming site and refrain from buying it.
