LG Washing Machine With An iPod Dock

I try to spend as little time as possible near my washing machine and dryer, so the idea of a washer with a built-in iPod dock is less than appealing to me. Apparently, LG's patent for the "Home appliance with MP3 player" is banking on a whole lot of people liking the idea. The drawings show a dock for the iPod/Zune (or any MP3 player for that matter) on the top of the machine, combined with speakers and a USB port.

The colorful washing machines seemed like a big enough novelty, but if you really want to listen to music and wash your clothes I suggest grabbing your MP3 player and headphones instead of enduring tumble noise.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... ENOUGH with the iPod docks! I can't believe how many things people are trying to manufacture with iPod docks!

I second all the Dumb comments. I get how you could use this in the kitchen, but the laundry room? I dump clothes in and head back out.

I agree - a washer is dumb. But I would totally dig a stove with speakers and a mp3 hookup. I spend too much time in the kitchen and hate running out to the great room to switch around my zen micro.

Pretty soon everything is going to be compatible with ipods. I can't wait until I can drown out the sound of my electric mixers with some Billy Talent! But seriously...why?
