Pay Amazon $10 a Month and Read All the Books You Want

Avid readers, you're going to love this news. Amazon launched an ebook and audiobook subscription service that does for literature what Netflix does for movies and Spotify does for music. It's called Kindle Unlimited, and the service starts today with a 30 day free trial.

For $10 per month, subscribers will get unlimited access to the Amazon Prime Library. The offerings include the Kindle Owners Lending Library, which already lends Prime members one free ebook per month. Among the 630,000+ books available are the Harry Potter series, as well as titles from Michael Lewis and sci-fi writer Hugh Howey. Some other popular titles include Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Life of Pi The library also includes over 7,000 audiobooks.

Kindle Unlimited is a lot like Oyster, an Android and iOS app that also offers a $10-per-month membership for unlimited electronic reading. Amazon's isn't available to the public yet — but we'll let you know as soon as it makes its debut.
