Twitter veteran John Mayer has officially closed his Twitter account. Although it may seem like a drastic move for someone with such a high follower count (3.1 million), John's decision to shut down his stream doesn't really come as a surprise — the singer-songwriter lamented about his army of "half a million haters" back in April and said he'd be taking a break from the media during an onstage breakdown.

However, the heat coming from John's frequent Twitter TMIs, public flirt sessions, and Twitter-related relationship drama may have also influenced his decision, and he's not alone — 64 percent of you are also Twitter quitters!
