This Infinite Solutions video may look like a blast from the past 80's video, but I assure you- it's anything but that! If you're away from your home base and want to connect to an unprotected wireless signal, this short video provides some great tips to help you do this.

By using your cell phone, laptop, an ethernet cable or a salad bowl with aluminum foil, you can increase network availability and extend your wireless range. Now I can finally go set up shop with my laptop in that beautiful park near my house! Yay!

Has anyone really tried this? I really don't think wrapping your phone with an ethernet cable is going to transmit some sort of signal that will increase your wi-fi.....

This isn't workin 4me..I used a samsung d500 n suspended it with an ethernet cable bout 5ft in a metal basin wit foil coating. I live about 500ft from my cousin n still only get 1bar. help me

this is a nonsense ... don't even try it. the suggestion here is: 1. use your Ethernet connection which is nor a wireless connection,,, 2. wrapping up your cellphone want do any good to any signal .... 3. ... and for sure not by putting it in your salad bowl. so if you really want to increase your wifi signal you can just google for "how to extend wireless range" and you'll get real ideas (common is reflecting back the AP signal by putting aluminum foil behind the antenna)
