How I Met Your Mother and Her Geeky Friends!

If I wanted to, I could probably do a TV tech quiz for How I Met Your Mother — you wouldn't think, but this ensemble of friends in NYC is pretty wired — especially my favorite character, Barney. I've Ioved NPH since Doogie Howser, MD, and as Barney I love him more — he's got an iPhone, a MacBook Pro — and talks in tech (and text) speak 24/7! A little bit creep but a lot of geek, Barney killed me in this clip from last week's episode after a scandalous romp with Ted's ex-girlfriend Robin.

i think i need to watch this show! i watched an episode online last year but the quality wasn't great. i keep telling my roommie...Geeksugar keeps talking about it! it must be good! :)

OH MY GOD Robin and Barney?! Why did I read this post? I've been chaining HIMYM through my final essay period (including my dissertation...) and I'm up to Season 3 episode 5. :D I'm watching Big Bang Theory too and these are basically the best shows out there right now. Well, apart from House M.D., Reaper and Scrubs. :D

I've been a Robin/Barney shipper for months now. :) I absolutely love that the show and writers didn't even need to explain that "BPEG" is the Barney proprietary image format; they just trusted that we, the viewers, would get it.Between HIMYM and Big Bang Theory (surprisingly good), my sitcom dance card is complete.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE NPH!!! Even though he's not quite like Barney in 'real' life (or as real as talk shows are), he's still pretty awesome. I wish he were my best friend!
