Do You Use Facebook Credits?

While playing one of my favorite Facebook games over the weekend, I got a notification that I had received 25 free Facebook Credits. I don't normally use the currency, since you have to pay real money to buy virtual goods, but the offer was nice nonetheless, and it helped me acquire a little something in my game I couldn't any other way.

How do Facebook Credits work, you ask? Well, you can use a Paypal account, credit card, or mobile phone to buy Facebook Credits (10 cents buys you one credit), then use those to purchase in-game gifts, accessories, or supplies. You can use Facebook Credits in all kinds of different games, but the question is — do you use them at all?

No — I don't like the idea of spending real money on fake goods.

The whole idea seems silly to me. I was recently notified I have 10 free credits, but I couldn't care less. If I was going to spend money, I'd spend it on something real.

lucky! i only got 10 free facebook credits :( I don't plan on using them, unless i really want to purchase something in my fave game.

I use them to buy b-day gifts to post to friends wall's and also to buy toys for my friends who use dogbook. I think they are going away soon though.

I'd only do something like that if I wanted to support the cause behind it. I do like facebook, but as long as they're willing to give it to me for free and I know they're doing well enough without my money.. I won't buy anything.
