How Do You Carry Your Laptop?

Since most of us tote around laptops on a daily basis, I'm curious to know how you carry your laptop- whether it be a proper laptop bag, a laptop sleeve, backpack, purse, or some other contraption.

I use a variety of bags and usually pick something last minute that matches my outfit or the size of the main bag I am carrying on that particular day. Normally I wouldn't consider wearing a backpack because of its bulkiness and lack of style, but when I saw this cute Komen Paris Backpack, I started to reconsider. I think if I used a bag like this to distribute the weight of my laptop, my shoulders and back would be extremely grateful.

a very ugly ish samsonite bag that screams, "I'm a 17inch laptop please steal me" ...I'm afraid to take it out...

there are so few bags for a 17 in laptop, at least in my current price range.

I bought a Kipling bag with removable laptop sleeve a couple of weeks ago. The colour's lovely and everything fits perfect.

i have a few options, like a slim laptop bag... but my current favourite is my Prada shoulder bag. actually any bag which can fit my Macbook. cos it is already in plastic casing so no worris about scratches and bumps.

I've had the Luna Boston bag for a few months and it's not very protective. I feel a metalic thump if I set it down too hard It's better looking than my last bag but just not very protective. When I travel I put it in a Timbuk2 sleeve that fits in a JanSport backpack. My most protective but extremely fugly bag was a Brenthaven. I really need something in between great looks and great padding. I have to have a slightly roomier bag so I can carry screwdrivers, service hard drives, service CD/DVDs and a few girl things since I don't carry a purse when I'm working. How I wish I could just carry a sexy sleeve that has a pocket only big enough to carry my AC adapter....

my tote came with a sleeve that fits my laptop perfectly, and there's there's still room for binders and stuff.

I have a Tucson Second Skin sleeve for my macbook pro. To carry it around, I use a vintage looking messenger bag I got at Wilson's :D It's quite roomy, there's room for some notebooks and such.

i usually put my macbook in a laptop bag which has a bit of room for some paper and pens or something thin. its not too bulky and i can put the whole thing in my school backpack if i need to. if i am going to carry a lot of stuff (like textbooks) i put my macbook in my backpack as is in a sort of separate section. i'm not too worried about it getting scratched etc. unlike my old powerbookg4 which required a lot more padding to keep safe.

I use a bag and it is definitely form over function (I'm a sucker for pink and bought it on looks alone). But this backpack is pretty cute, and distributing the weight, giving my right shoulder a rest, is probably a good idea.

I'm young, so i take the laptop in a nike backpack where ever I go or if im traveling which makes it easier on me that carrying a laptop bag all day.

my iBook fits into this cute pink flower sleeve I bought for it. Which in turn goes into a messenger bag whenever I take it to school or to a friend's house. -JR

We've been putting it in a neoprene (I think?) sleeve and then in the backpack designed for laptops.

I used to carry mine in a proper laptop bag, but ever since I got my iBook, I've been carrying it in the sleeve I bought it with ... then I pop it into my Timbuk2 tote :)

I have an old messenger bag that wasn't made for the purpose, but fits nicely. It's cute, but it's starting to fray a bit at the seams, so I desperately need to find something new... :-/
