Have You Used a Public Charging Station?

I had a layover at the Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport last week and was struck by an enormous Powerport charging station that seemed like it could solve any gadget woe under the sun. The station recharged PDAs, cell phones, iPods, and cameras, offered laptop rentals (by the hour), and even allowed you to check your device's battery before getting on the plane. It was certainly a step above the Burger King–charging stations in the Philippines, but I couldn't help but wonder if the machine was an untapped (albeit fancy-looking) resource, or if people actually used it on a regular basis.
