With sites like Goozex and Switch Planet, which make game-swapping and trading simple and easy, it's nice to know that brick-and-mortar stores are also getting involved in game recycling.

GameStop already has a trade-in your old video games and consoles for credit towards the latest games and gear program running, but now HMV is offering a similar service. Starting this Friday, HMV will be kicking off its Re/Play launch, where customers can trade-in games for any other products in store — including Blu-ray movies, MP3 players and other items.

With this new trading service, HMV will also start selling second hand products at approximately 160 stores. Hello? More affordable games and consoles AND an increase in game recycling — woot!
