Watching these Guitar Hero spots with David Cook and David Archuleta each re-enacting the famous depantsed-Tom Cruise scene in Risky Business with the video game, it's pretty obvious why Cook was crowned American Idol. He really commits in this clip, ruling the lip-synced song, and showing off all his moves. I'm sure Simon would agree. I guess the ad did its job too — I totally want to go pick up my plastic guitar and unleash my inner rock star!

I agree - Cook's was a lot better! Plus, it feels kinda wrong to be watching little Archie without pants...he's so young!
1LOL. I agree with maggieleigh!
2Cook's was just awesome and he totally sold the product. Archie's was just "Oh, look, he's pretending to be a rockstar."
3YEAY COOK!
4I want to be a guitar hero too!
cook rocked it brilliantly
5Cook nailed it...pretty dead on!
6i thought that David cook did a great job..it looked natural when we did it. thats y hes our American Idol...
7I absolutely love david cook, Im so glad he won. His video was much better than david archuleta's, seemed a little more realistic.
8love guitar hero, not a fan of america idol. but the new winner is from my city.
9haha Both of them are good but Cook's more rock-and-rollish!
10I like both ads however Cook really rocks in that ad (plus he is hot to look at
. Since
David A. is younger he had to wear boxers so it kinda ruined the idea (he is still cute.)
11In David Archuleta's defense, he's suppose to be able to play Guitar Hero on expert level. Cook took acting/theatre in college...it's his cup of tea.
12i love guitar hero and david cook! his video was cute ^^
13I will say that Archie's was cute. And while he can't pull the rockstar thing as well as David Cook can, they've both done better with the commercial than most regular people can. >__<</p> 14
Yaaaay Cookie!!!!
