Juicies+, the Hawaii-based company behind woven, tangle-free charging cables, are hoping to strike gold. Its Kickstarter campaign for more flexible, longer lasting cords has already surpassed its $40K goal with 48 days to go, but a new stretch goal for $120,000 will unlock the golden age of . . . cables.
A limited-edition gold Lightning-compatible link will be offered to backers if Juicies+ reaches the new goal. The project has already raised $105K, so it's not a stretch. The cables are made of sandblasted anodized aerospace aluminum, which gives them a premium look, and are wrapped in woven fabric that prevents tangles.
At four feet long, Juices+ are also longer than standard cords and use wires rated for 4+ amps that allow for the fastest charging times possible. Back the campaign for $18, and you'll get a cable in black, silver, and maybe even gold. Shipments are expected to begin Dec. 15, and all backers should to receive their rewards by Jan. 31.
