Gmail Users Get Upset About Outage
Gmail Going Down Causes More of a Stir Than a Twitter Failure
Wow, did I have my head in the clouds when I took to Twitter to see if anyone else was having Gmail issues yesterday. Well it turns, out after Google took some Gmail servers offline to perform routine upgrades the remaining servers couldn't handle the influx of traffic and became overloaded. Suffice to say, we were all without Gmail for at least a half-hour yesterday. Everyone vented their frustrations on Twitter about the whole ordeal, and I couldn't help but wonder why Twitter outages don't cause as big of a stink — because people can't tweet about it if it's not up and running — duh!
Although it's easy to get frustrated when sites like Twitter go down, most of you say you wouldn't consider quitting the site or service. Were you affected by the Gmail outage yesterday?
