Gmail "Spams" Me — WTF?!

My love for Gmail is kind of ridiculous: I've got it pimped out with a colorful theme, video functionality and useful Labs, so why does it repay me with scary Spam web clips?

I subscribed to some fun clips, and I know Gmail often throws up the odd Google Sponsored Link or Gmail tip, but c'mon — Spam clips?

I don't eat Spam, and I've never talked about buying it, eating it, or cooking with it in ANY of my emails or chats. OK, so maybe I've said the word Spam a few times in reference to emails, but why is Gmail so excited to send me some recipes for making Spam casseroles?

Is this happening to anyone else? Is it a sponsored link?

Huh. Well I never knew people used those clips. I immediately turn that feature off with every gmail account I open. LOL

I think it's funny! While I will never eat spam, when I empty my spam folder it's hilarious to see a recipe for spam casserole!

I've had it since they introduced that bar at the top with RSS and whatever. They do it as a joke when you are viewing your spam folder - if it's happening elsewhere, that's a bug.

I always get those. I thought it was because I used to live in Hawaii (Spam is hugeee there) and I would talk about it with my friends from there after I moved. I didn't know a lot of people were getting this though.
