The price seems a little steep, but at $34, these Etre Touchy Gloves do solve a basic problem: using your iPhone, iPod, computer, or other touch-screen device while wearing gloves. Most gadgets won't respond to a woolly glove, only bare skin. In theory, I like these. And on days that the temperature doesn't dip too low, I guess they're practical — but I still think they're a bit silly-looking.
For the record, I'm still torn on these fingerless gloves, though most of you find them totally geek chic.

1Just cut your own 99 cent pair. Jeez!
2i dont think you need to buy special ones...just cut up your own or buy fingerless gloves.
3no way. 2 years ago I bought nice designer arm warmers with the fingers cut out for 18 bucks. And that was the most I was willing to spend
4omg, i wish i had thought of this!!
5knit my own pair...better colors, better yarn, cuter patterns
6totally with kitkatherine. i've got two sets i'm knitting now, one for me, one for a friend.
7and the best part about knitting your own? you can add that little flap that converts them into regular mittens
get glittens.
8i wouldn't pay that much but i definitely use fingerless gloves all winter because i type and text so often that i rarely can keep regular gloves on for long. i cant find mind now and my hands are freezing!
9considering that they are british you can estimate they pay about twice as much for products, not only in the conversion rate, but just in general. Life is just more expensive, but if they were to be sold in the US by a US company they would probably be $20.
but I wouldn't buy them anyway since I really. Man it up and take off your gloves or use wrist warmers.
10Maybe if they came with caps for the bare fingers so I can keep them covered when they're not touching my phone. A friend of mine found a pair like that at Target for pretty cheap - just pull the tip of the glove back and button it or you can even just open it up a tiny bit and still keep the tippy tips covered while touching your phone screen. :]
11I recently figured out if you have leather gloves and you lightly moisturize the thumb and index finger the gloves will somewhat function on the iphone's touch screen.
So why buy gloves minus fingers at all... just lick your current leather ones.
12i buy the capped gloves --- they are fingerless but come with a little cap you put over them. they sell them at Urban Outfitters for $16
13I generally purchase a new pair of the elbow length gloves with the fingertips missing every winter. I found that Nordstrom has great ones in a variety of colors and styles and pricewise run from $18 for the acrylic ones, and $45 for the cashmere ones for the Nordstrom brand, and then skyrocketing to $118 for the Juicy ones, and $400 for the Donna Karen. Trust me, stay clear of the Juicy ones, an ex purchased a pair for me for Christmas last year and they lasted 3 days before they started getting holes in them. After exchanging them 3 times I gave up and went back to the Nordstrom brand.
14That's crazy! I just brought a second pair of Minicci convertible gloves from Payless Shoes for $6.99 that doubles as fingerless gloves and mittens. Brought my first pair two years ago and the only reason I'm buying another pair now is because I loaned them out and never got them back! Lesson learned!
15um, aren't those for sale for like $1 at walmart? these companies are ridiculous and so are the people who rush out to get what they're selling. smh!
16i'm excited, my friend is knitting me a pair for the holidays!
