If you love gadgets, gaming, or anime, the Akihabara District of Tokyo should be on your to-do list. Known as the electronics district, Akihabara shops are known for having the latest gadgets before anyone else does — or will. You can spend hours in the rows of gadget shops (many are duty free), manga cafes, and gaming stores. If you're really lucky, you'll stumble across a healthy dose of cosplay too.
